At the SB Rescue Mission, we believe in transforming lives. As the only year-round emergency shelter between Santa Maria and Ventura, we provide essential services to those experiencing homelessness. Our 12-month long residential recovery program cares for the whole person at no charge to the clients, and we have had almost 1000 graduates of our program that contribute to a large alumni network. Our programs offer individualized case management, guiding participants towards stable and permanent housing. Here's What You'll Be Doing

As the Women's Treatment Program Director, you will be the guiding force behind our 24-bed residential treatment program, ensuring it meets and exceeds all regulatory standards. Your role will involve leading a team of dedicated staff, fostering a collaborative and positive atmosphere, and maintaining the highest quality of care for our clients. Specifically, you will:

  • Oversee program compliance with DHCS standards and ASAM level 3.1 requirements.
  • Lead, train, and support a team of 5+ staff members, promoting professional development.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all residents.
  • Manage client intake, orientation, and ongoing care documentation.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and crisis intervention as needed.


You Need These Qualifications
  • Certified or licensed in drug or alcohol addiction (e.g., CADC, LAADC, LPCC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in leading drug and alcohol recovery programs.
  • Effective conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to a client-centered, holistic treatment approach.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with staff, clients, and external partners.
  • Personal integrity and faith alignment with our mission and values.


Desired, but Not Required Qualifications
  • Experience managing long-term residential facilities and client behaviors
  • strong understanding of the needs of homeless and judicial system populations
