The Civil Superintendent is a role that works collaboratively with the Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the project. This position must have a strong understanding of Heavy Civil Construction. They are a strong communicator and able to engage a team as a leader but also take direction. They have a proven ability to work with and delegate to other roles. Their experience and industry knowledge will contribute to the ongoing management of the project ensuring deliverables are met.

- Experienced in Heavy Civil Construction projects
- Able to make decisions and direct crew on daily activities
- The creation, maintenance, and management of project schedule
- Able to engage a team, and delegate
- Able to participate and contribute to meetings with all stakeholders and managers of the project
- High degree of comfort with all paperwork required in managing a job site and regulatory requirements
- Advanced operator of all earth moving equipment
- Proactive and strategic thinker to reduce any risks in safety, environment, and performance
- Effective problem solver in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Working understanding of Provincial environmental and safety regulations
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in Heavy Civil Construction
- Able to work shift work and on remote job sites
- Class 5 license
