JOB SUMMARY

Carlson, Inc. and its affiliated entities, Carlson Holdings, Inc. and the Tonkawa family office, is seeking a full time Senior Analyst - Data Analytics and Reporting to independently provide analytical support across the different functions of our business. This includes developing and owning models that provide key business and financial projections, helping different groups structure and analyze data relevant for their areas, and building standardized reports to enable automated access to key information and metrics. This position will interface with business clients, providing relevant analytical information and insights and helping them answer critical questions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and own business models to provide short, medium, and long-term projections, integrating operating revenues, investment returns, and expenses
  • Conduct sensitivity / scenario analyses to provide insight into potential risks and opportunities
  • Develop presentation materials to communicate key findings to staff, clients, Boards, and committees
  • Help various functional groups structure and analyze data to clarify results, highlight trends, identify issues, and answer questions
  • Use Power BI and other tools to build standardized reports
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, data analytics, or technical area; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 2-4 years related experience. A relevant master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA or CFA) with less experience may also be acceptable
  • Advanced knowledge of modeling, data analysis, and data structures
  • Experience with different analytical and reporting packages (e.g., Power BI) and database programs (e.g., SQL) required
  • Some familiarity with accounting methods, taxes, and investments
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy along with strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task, be adaptable to change, and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal business communication skills
  • Professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion is of utmost importance
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required
