Position Overview:
1.0 FTE Elementary reading intervention and coach position to work with students and staff at Hayes Elementary School the 2024-2025 school year.

Job Summary: The reading intervention and coach position will provide student reading interventions, as well as monitor and report on the literacy program and implementation, conduct classroom obersvations and professsional discussions to support literacy curriculum, work with building principal and IB Coordinator to determine interventions schedules, plan professional learning as well as assess and monitor student needs.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree and full credentials in relevant academic discipline
  • Licensed Teacher - Minimum of three years teaching and/or having achieved continuing contract status in Minnesota
  • Evidence of instructional expertise and student achievement gains
  • Expertise and/or skill in content area(s), skill in curriculum development, student learning, test analysis
  • Training and experience in CLR and other equitable teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborative Team Member (committed professional learner and collaborator)
  • Organizational skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Other leadership skills
Preferred Qualifcations:
  • Master's degree recommended, but not required (advanced training and course work preferred)
  • Mentoring training preferred
  • Preferred literacy license
  • LETRS Trained
