We are seeking a motivated and talented AVP of Financial Planning & Analysis to join our dynamic team to play a pivotal role in Verdantas' M&A strategy and FP&A analysis. Reporting to the Vice President, FP&A, this position will have exposure to our executive team in addition to others across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Lead with empathy, strong communication, and a people-focused approach to achieve successful results for Verdantas.
Support and shape the company's people-focused culture by promoting inclusivity, diversity, and collaboration by reinforcing positive workplace values and encouraging teamwork through outward messaging to potential candidates.
Conduct in-depth M&A and Quality of Earnings analysis to support strategic decisions.
Lead post-acquisition accounting true-up and analysis (opening balance sheets and net working capital true-ups).
Perform business valuation and financial modeling to evaluate potential investment opportunities.
Create insightful financial analyses and reports.
Collaborate with leadership, presenting complex financial information up to C-suite level.
Manage communication effectively in a remote work environment, ensuring timely updates and clear articulation of work streams.
Manage a growing team of financial analysts, providing leadership, coaching and mentoring.
Willingness and ability to travel as necessary for M&A transactions and other business needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
10+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis or related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
Prior experience in Transaction Advisory Services in a global public accounting firm.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Power Pivot, and other analytical tools.
Solid accounting background with a strong understanding of US GAAP.
Passion for M&A, Private Equity, and the AEC industry.
A curious mindset with a strong appetite for learning and continuous development.
Exceptional business writing skills and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
Proven leadership record having led M&A and finance teams in large organizations.
Ability to interact with C-suit leadership, provide strategic insights, present due diligence findings and recommendations.
Ability to bring and implement transformative ideas in the FP&A process in a large organization.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional teams and be a team player.
