FRONT END UI DEVELOPER
Aversan Inc. ( www.aversan.com ) is a reputable Engineering Company that provides expertise in Systems Integration, Product Design/Development and Software/Product Testing for highly regulated industries including Digital Health, Medical Devices, IT and Aerospace. We are currently seeking a qualified Front End UI Developer towork on leading edge technology products. The successful candidate for this position will be a part of highly motivated and highly technical work environment that feeds off the collective energy of a team-oriented workplace.

Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build cloud native User-interface (UI) front-end software, using various UI technologies and related tools.
• Apply coding/implementation best practices to produce elegant, high quality, resilient, maintainable, and reusable code.
• Implement and follow security best practices.
• Proactively participate in creating unit test cases, along with integration & performance testing for the UI.
• Enhancing, and maturing, the existing front-end automation test suite and tooling.
• Participate in deployment of applications, testing/integration, and issue investigation.
• Manage the source code repository for projects in Git.
• Document, manage, and maintain internal knowledge and processes.
• Actively participate in sprint planning and retrospective meetings, creation of user stories, as well as, corresponding tasks.
• Partner with UX Designers to implement and verify user experience concepts.
• Provide feedback to documentation team to develop, improve, and review Customer centric feature documentation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering .
• 5 years of Angular (9 or 16) proficiency (in and out) new projects, existing projects.
• Proficient understanding of web markup, protocol and client-side scripting technologies in general, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, REST API, Angular, React, Node.js.
• 5 years' experience specializing in modern User Interface (UI) front-end enterprise application development.
• Minimum of 5 years developing enterprise business-to-business UI's using Angular, JavaScript, Typescript.
• Experience in web services, web standards: REST, HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Proficient understanding of web markup, protocol and client-side scripting technologies in general, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, REST API, Angular, React, Node.js.
• Develop and design RESTful services and APIs.
• Programming experience in Java, along with Springboot framework.
• Demonstrate experience in building user interfaces for complex enterprise applications.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills in a web-based cloud environment.
• Familiarity with relational SQL databases such as MySQL & Postgres.
• Extensive experience in the implementation of highly secure web-based UI applications using the latest industry standards.
• Familiarity working with continuous integration tools such as: Gitlab, Teamcity, Terraform, and Git CI/CD pipeline working experience.
• Experience working with Linux and Linux based applications.
• Experience with unit test development, such as Jasmine, and test automation, using frameworks, such as Selenium, Protractor, or Playwright.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe development methodology.
• Working experience/knowledge with industry leading cloud providers GCP or AWS.
• Knowledge of code quality & analysis tools such as IDE Tools, Security and Open source scanning tools, such as SonarQube, Blackduck logging and monitoring tools such as Datadog or Splunk.
• Experience with security and identity management (access management, authentication, authorization identity providers), as well as, monitoring framework.
• Working knowledge of cryptographic concepts (i.e. Encryption concepts and technologies), and an understanding of encryption and cryptographic key management with experience using them to protect sensitive data in database, applications, storage systems, virtualized platforms, and cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD automated deployment pipelines and associated technologies: terraforms, helm, yaml, ansible.
• Management of docker containers deployed in a kubernetes environment.
• Networking and cloud infrastructure knowledge and above average application troubleshooting experience.
• Experience providing L3 pager support for large complex enterprise applications.
