The Role

IEQ Capital is looking for an experienced and motivated professional to join the Business Development Team in our Foster City office. The Business Development Associate Director plays a critical role in crafting and leading strategic efforts to source new business for IEQ Advisors by identifying and tracking liquidity events, identifying leads with connections to the Firm, qualifying potential prospect leads, managing opportunity pipelines, and more. This role is essential in helping our advisors fuel their growth efforts and stay organized. The Business Development Associate Director will also be responsible for managing a team of individuals. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support the overall strategic direction of business development efforts for Advisors.
  • Manage and mentor Business Development Associates and Senior Associates.
  • Develop and maintain metrics via reports and dashboards to analyze new business activity across Advisors to spur proactivity and ensure accountability.
  • Consistent oversight of Advisor pipelines to ensure they are 'leak-proof'.
  • Develop and execute strategic projects and processes from start to finish for Advisors and the broader firm.
  • Analyze all aspects of business development initiatives using data sets from Salesforce and other platforms to determine which generate the most success.
  • Deep dive into daily deals across the United States to gather intelligence on deals >$1b and to generate potential prospects for Advisors to pursue.
  • Utilize firm technology to structure and execute broad outreach campaigns to generate connectivity with potential prospects.
  • Participate in the recruitment of new team members.
  • Review Advisors' clients' networks to identify potential new clients for IEQ to pursue.
  • Develop an understanding of IEQs investment philosophy and broader spectrum of service offerings.


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Candidate must thrive in and be able to keep up with a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • High-level of integrity and humility.
  • Must be able to think critically, effectively, anticipate needs and be a natural problem-solver.
  • Experience managing several individuals.
  • Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
  • Experience owning projects & initiatives while delegating responsibilities as needed.
  • Must have high attention to detail in all aspects of the role, work quickly and accurately.
  • Must be self-directed and able to work with individuals at all levels, including executive management.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Background in financial services/wealth management industry preferred.


Compensation

$135,000 - $175,000 depending on skills and experience
