The DarkStar Group is seeking an Enterprise IT Training Specialist with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Chantilly, VA. THE PROGRAM
The DarkStar Group is a member of 100% of the winning teams for the largest technology program in the Intel Community. We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013. We've grown on this effort by providing the customer with Engineers who have done exceptional work, and we've retained our staff by paying very strong salaries, and working hard to ensure each Engineer is doing work that aligns with their career interest.
THE PROJECT
The Sponsor provides basic, advanced, leadership, and specialized tradecraft training to students around the world. The Sponsor is responsible for designing activities, online tools, courses, and course materials for a community-wide client base. The Sponsor designs, supports, and implements superior learning programs intended to foster greater understanding and cooperation across the organization and complimentary groups.
The Sponsor requires an integrated instructional design team that can coordinate across organizational boundaries to develop effective curriculum and learning experiences using instructional design skills and the incorporation of learning technology, multimedia, and video production. Learning solutions may include but are not limited to: research, analysis, design, development, implementation, support, and project management for online, blended, and face-to-face training. Design efforts will facilitate the Sponsor's mission to support training.
Priorities will be managed by the Sponsor's Project Manager (PM), Deputy PM, and GTM. The Contractor Team will interface directly with the Sponsor's PM, Deputy PM, and GTM.

THE ROLE
- The Contractor Team shall be responsible for designing and developing new courses and learning solutions in a variety of delivery modalities.
- The Contractor Team shall make revisions to existing courses, using established standards for design and development, and evaluation of courses.
- The Contractor Team shall provide guidance material.
- The Contractor Team shall coach new instructors in course delivery and instructional techniques.
- The Contractor Team shall work in a team-oriented environment and consult with Sponsor Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Course Directors, Instructors, and Leadership.
- The Contractor Team shall work with other core internal media functions to handle a variety of activities related to curriculum design, development, and training delivery including but not limited to needs assessment, instructional-related research and analysis, course and lesson creation, delivery, and evaluation.
- The Contractor Team shall support the learning experience and project management lifecycle from inception to close using competencies such as Instructional Design & Development, Project Implementation & Management, Project Planning & Analysis, and Knowledge Management.
- The Contractor Team shall research, design, develop, document, and implement learning products and artifacts in support of training courses for the Sponsor.
- The Contractor Team shall work with clients to determine the learning need, the appropriate learning outcomes, and the most suitable instructional methodologies based on adult learning theory, organizational resources, and industry standards.
- The Contractor Team shall document needs assessment findings to include recommendations to be incorporated by the client.
- The Contractor Team shall review, improve, and implement design concepts that satisfy documented learning needs.
- The Contractor Team shall brief design concepts and create briefing materials for learning initiatives as a part of the design process.
- The Contractor Team shall analyze each Sponsor-approved design concept to determine the tasks, skills, level of effort, and sequence of events required to create the desired learning solution.
- The Contractor Team shall create training materials such as in-person curriculum, asynchronous and synchronous online learning, hybrid learning, job and learning aids, Web Based Training's (WBTs), and media in alignment with other units.
- The Contractor Team shall document and maintain processes.
- The Contactor Team shall use and maintain knowledge management repositories.
- The Contractor Team shall use project tracking systems and processes.
- The Contractor Team shall archive supporting information in the Sponsor's tool(s).
- The Contractor Team shall participate in curriculum review.
- The Contractor Team shall create and implement formative and summative evaluation and support the Sponsor in data collection, data analysis, reporting, and results.
- The Contractor Team shall ensure all activities and products are consistent with the Sponsor's requirements.
- The Contractor Team shall comply with all relevant legal restrictions such as accessibility (Section 508), privacy and copyright.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience working in a training environment
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated experience developing in-person training, job aids, presentation materials, WBTs, online training courses, or other learning solutions
- Demonstrated experience in research, content review, analysis, reporting, and knowledge management
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and implementing adult learning
- Demonstrated experience collaborating in multi-functional units and with content partners to create finished learning solutions
- Demonstrated experience solving complex application development problems
- Demonstrated experience providing advice and recommendations on product design
- Demonstrated experience incorporating considerations into design plans such as budgets, equipment, performance requirements, or legal issues including accessibility and privacy
- Demonstrated experience in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Experiential Adult Learning, Professional Adult Instruction, or closely related field
- Certifications
- Instructional Design Certification from an accredited institution
Desired Skills (Optional)
- Demonstrated experience with web-based collaboration and document management platforms; task management tools that provide browser-based access for team document libraries, calendars, task lists, alerts, and schedules such as SharePoint or other similar software products
- Experience in teaching or instructional delivery in a classroom environment
- Bachelor's Degree in field related to Instructional Design (incl. Education, Business, Science, Engineering, or Liberal Arts) from an accredited institution
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in field related to Instructional Design (incl. Education, Business, Science, Engineering, or Liberal Arts) from an accredited institution.
