Facility Cyber Security Technical Support (REMOTE) - Tyndall AFB, FL

JOB SUMMARY:

BB&E is seeking two (2) Facility Cyber Security Technical Supports to support AFCEC/CO Tyndall AFB, FL. This is a REMOTE opportunity with some travel required as needed by the client.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, industry best practices and recommend alternative solutions to include specifications, cost estimates, performance, applicability of methods, initial methodology development and life cycle cost analysis.
  • Help evaluate commercially available technology and provide recommendations or solutions to modify standard practices, equipment, devices, processes, and techniques.
  • Assist with multidisciplinary professional engineering work involving the application of electronics, mechanical, and/or other engineering disciplines to determine the business and technical needs of customers.
  • Apply expert knowledge and mastery of advanced engineering theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods to ensure assigned projects remain consistent with program objectives, costs, schedules, performance criteria, and existing policies.
  • Assist with coordinating the various phases of work with other functional disciplines and interprets/translates engineering and cyber security requirements into design characteristics and criteria.
  • Evaluate reports by analyzing facts and performing appropriate research and prepares detailed responses and then determine appropriate recommendations for unresolved or questionable problems.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree or higher in Engineering Cyber-Security.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess five (5) to ten (10) years of related experience or oversight of work of others.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of multidisciplinary professional engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
  • Knowledge of testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and/or new applications to issues and provide advice and direction in of AF FRCS, subsystems, and/or equipment of the principles of planning and project management used in support of sustainment, modification, and programs. Ability to devise and evaluate control system criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches; to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes; and to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, form conclusions, devise and recommend solutions problems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of DoD risk management concepts, commercial and industrial computer network design, and cyber security practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to show a working knowledge and familiarity with cyber security laws regulations and policies such as NISST Cybersecurity Framework, Risk Management Framework, 800-53, DODD 8500 series, and AFI 33-210.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge and assisting installations with cyber hygiene compliance.
  • US Citizen and active DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance.


CERTIFICATIONS:

  • DoD 8570.01M IAM-III (Computer Information System Security Professional (CISSP) or ability for contractor to provide training so employee becomes certified.
