ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze and use student and teacher performance data to monitor and improve student academic achievement Prepare, plan for and lead regular professional development and professional learning community sessions Prepare, plan for and lead professional development for Early Release Days and Summer PD Academy Collaborate with other coordinators in the elementary feeder districts to develop materials to support articulation Integrate innovative uses of technology for teaching and learning Develop curriculum maps and align materials to standards, and support teachers in generating lesson ideas Assist in the evaluation, revision, and editing of all resources Assist with securing permission for copyrighted materials used in lesson development Research and disseminate best practices in instructional strategies and discipline-related content Observe teachers and provide non-evaluative feedback in partnership with site administration Provide training as needed Facilitating feedback loops to collect teacher input regarding curriculum and instruction Demonstrate a desire to improve student performance Collaborate and assist in planning for professional learning; plan and present professional development in collaboration with site and district administration Model best practices in instructional delivery and provide best practices Show consideration and respect for all persons Share knowledge of instructional theory and district curriculum with teachers Develop and model norms of collaboration, inquiry and on-going professional learning Exhibit self-discipline Support district, school, department and individual teacher goals Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, staff, parents and school issues Provide a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, parents and community Perform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner Perform other related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Education / Certificate
1. Master's degree preferred
2. Current and valid Arizona Department of Education Teaching certification
3. Current and valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
Experience
A minimum of three (3) years successful 7-12 classroom teaching experience; five (5) years recommended Recognized as an exemplary classroom teacher by supervisors and fellow teachers Exhibits exceptional professional role model qualities Knowledge and experience in the area of developing, planning, and presenting professional development sessions Ability to engage in and demonstrate formative assessment processes, including non-evaluative, reflective conversations with teachers about formative and summative assessment evidence Leadership skills and ability to work effectively with groups and individuals; skills in organizing ideas and presenting them with clarity and conciseness; knowledge of a secondary level curriculum and programs with the ability to apply this knowledge to a variety of situations Experienced in the effective use of instruction of adult learners Demonstrate leadership skills
Communication Skills
1.Strong writing, literacy, and communication skills; uses effective communication strategies to interact with a variety of audiences
2. Bilingual communication is beneficial
Computer Skills
1. Knowledge of Google Suite
2. Technical experience with Excel and PowerPoint
