Job Description
The Senior Manager role is responsible for planning and operations of Information Technology (IT) systems in support of business operations. This is a multi-faceted job that engages multiple teams and organizations across multiple locations and countries. It requires the ability to effectively influence, to develop, promote, drive solutions, and stay on desired path to achieve goals. Typically, this role oversees one or more team(s) responsible for delivery, implementation, or support of IT solutions.
Under stand DOE 205.1C and NIST 800-171 and monitor IT processes, systems, and infrastructure for compliance to these requirements.
Manage IT department operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, organizing, and negotiating the allocation of resource
Manage routine and scheduled tasks in a way that meets or exceeds customer expectations
Analyze complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions
Partner with IT leadership and team members to identify, develop, and implement solutions that meet business goals
Contribute to annual and strategic planning to help align IT with enterprise-level business strategies
Apply a comprehensive knowledge of IT best practices in situations involving a high degree of complexity and scope at an enterprise level

Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and thirteen (13) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to seventeen (17) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications
Accredited degree or global equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or related technical discipline
Advanced degree (Master's or global equivalent) is desirable
Eight (8) years experience with implementation, operation, and maintenance of large-scale systems, preferably across multiple hardware and software platforms
Five (5) years of Information Technology (IT ) related experience in one or more of the following areas: data communications engineering, data and/or voice communications, hardware or software analysis, network administration, or management or data and/or voice communications equipment installation and maintenance
May require Certified Network Engineer (CNE or CNE/NT) or Certified Network Administrator (CNA) credentials or other applicable certifications
Demonstrated strong communication in both oral and written
Demonstrated strong analytical and conceptual skills
Proficient in problem analysis, structured analysis and solution design techniques
Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment
