QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree or higher in education with certification in Administration, Curriculum, or Educational Leadership.
Knowledge of New Hampshire laws and statutes and State Board rules as they relate to curriculum.
Knowledge of the utilization of technology as an instructional tool and a management system for student data.
REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools or Designee
SUPERVISES: Teaching faculty
JOB GOAL:
- To direct and provide leadership in designing curriculum and identifying appropriate programming to meet the diverse needs of our students.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct related revision, implementation, and evaluation of the District's K-12 curriculum as aligned with the New Hampshire Department of Education's Standards and Accountability system.
- Direct the development of a long-range K-12 articulation plan for program review, development, implementation, coordination and evaluation modeled after best practices
- Direct procedures to ensure input from all appropriate levels of personnel involved with the implementation of curriculum plans, programs, and projects.
- Direct educational initiatives to ensure rigor and relevancy in the curriculum.
- Align the curriculum and professional development activities with district, state, and national initiatives.
- Work with the administrative team to identify areas in need of professional development.
- Write, revise and supervise implementation of Title grants with funding allocations through the NH-DOE.
- Coordinate the processing of recertification and Alt Plans for certification.
- Direct the coordination, supervision, and evaluation of instructional materials selection.
- Implementation and management of learning management system.
- Coordinate the administration of standardized testing along with analyzing and monitoring test results and developing recommendations to improve student performance.
- Explore entitlement and competitive grant opportunities.
- In concert with building administrators, observe and evaluate teaching staff as it relates to best practices in instruction.
- Coordinate Home School notifications from families.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
