The ideal candidate will have management experience in a dynamic setting. The role requires a deep understanding of all facets of the building process, from the initial planning and foundational work through to project completion on a variety of capital project initiatives. This person will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously and serving as the worksite representative for dealings with subcontractors, suppliers, cross-functioning departments, and government agencies. The Construction Manager will ensure compliance with all national and local procedures, regulations, and codes and will provide progress updates to appropriate management channels regularly. With every project, the Construction Manager will be counted on to drive the innovation we're known for.

Job Summary:

The Construction Manager will oversee and coordinate construction projects from start to finish for all BioSpectra facilities and properties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership in initial planning stage by collaborating with management or other involved parties; develops detailed description of jobs and materials necessary to complete project.
  • Schedules and coordinates construction projects in logical steps and budgets the time necessary to meet each deadline
  • Plans, coordinates, organizes, oversees and directs activities regarding the construction and maintenance of assigned projects
  • Collaborates with Director of Operations to discuss goals and objectives for the work week
  • Interacts with other managers to ensure effective communication for the execution of all projects
  • Manages Construction Mechanics to ensure weekly objectives are completed and to ensure quality standard performance
  • Creates material lists to be ordered by purchasing
  • Complete building construction and repairs which may include, but not limited to: painting, carpentry, sheet rocking, flooring, plumbing, electrical, masonry, cement work, heating, ventilating & air conditioning, and roofing
  • Uses various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects
  • Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices
  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management

Qualifications:
  • Five years of related construction experience for residential, industrial or commercial buildings
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude to work with various tools and machines
  • Thorough understanding of plans, specifications and regulations
  • Good math skills for measuring and cutting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to learn cGMP and Safety programs

Work Hours:
  • Exempt Position
  • Minimum of 45-50 Hours Week, or other agreed upon documented schedule
  • Ability and willingness to work from all BioSpectra facilities
