Moorings Park is looking for a Director of Campus Life. The Director of Campus Life is responsible for the planning, implementing, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the programs in accordance with policies and procedures and for fulfilling the facilities contractual obligation to residents by providing residents the opportunity to participate in a variety of organized self-enriching activities.

Contributions:
- Manages all assigned departments within established budgets, monitors all significant variances and initiates effective corrective action where necessary.
- Ensures the development and maintenance of self-sustaining systems of management controls in all areas and aspects of life care programs including the following: activities, independent contractors, volunteer programs and the Resident Activity Center.
- Supervises Activity Assistant to ensure the fulfillment of project assignments within budget, with quality programs that are on schedule.
- Manages all assigned departments within established budgets, monitors all significant variances and initiates effective corrective action where necessary.
- Ensures that staff responds appropriately to concerns and problems, making every effort to effectively meet the needs of the person and/or department within reason and the abilities of the department.
- Directs the department by ensuring it is staffed with productive, responsive, well-trained and effectively managed employees. Ensures compliance with all legal issues.
- Orchestrates departmental administration, subordinate groups and related departments though effective leadership.
- Makes decisions, renders judgments, takes action, or commits self and/or department to changing conditions, requests or needs.
- Shows professional knowledge, proficiency and initiative in achieving goals and meeting standards. Sets and develops strategic direction and long-term economic plans for the department and the organization as a whole.
- Conducts meetings, planning and training sessions with staff on a regular basis.
- Ensures the development and implementation of systems and processes to assure effective operations of the department.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
- A minimum of 4 years college or equivalent experience
- A minimum of two years' experience in directing an activity/recreation program for active adults.
- During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster.
