Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The Geospatial Technologies team is seeking a Geospatial Platform Specialist to support the setup, implementation, and maintenance of Pattern's ArcGIS Enterprise environment and associated systems. This role will report to the Manager, Geospatial Systems and will be responsible for the administration of ArcGIS Enterprise, including data maintenance, publishing, user setup, security, and upgrades. The position will support the accurate dissemination of work products derived from data sources to be used to inform stakeholders. The position will work closely with the larger Geospatial Technologies team to ensure data standards are enforced and implemented on all spatial datasets. This position will also liaison with the Enterprise Technology team to ensure all Enterprise infrastructure is functioning appropriately.

Bachelors in geography, spatial science, GIS or related field
Required Work Experience
At least five years' professional experience in the Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environment.
Required Knowledge
Preferred Skills
The expected starting pay range for this role is $90,000 USD - $122,000 in local currency. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern's compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life insurance, voluntary benefits, family care benefits, employee assistance program, paid time off and bonding leave, paid holidays, 401(k)/RRSP retirement savings plan with employer contribution, and employee referral bonuses.

Key Accountabilities
- Provision, installation, configuration and deployment for production and development environments of Esri's ArcGIS platform and SQL Server, with needed add-ins and modules, and deployment of updates and patches as necessary.
- Integration of backend GIS with other systems such as document management systems, land systems, or databases.
- Working with team members, to design, develop, configure, test, implement and maintain large-scale GIS applications and web portals, backend processing modules and associated data layers and databases.
- Participates in the design, development, integration and maintenance of GIS database architectures, data layers and databases.
- Manages the creation and maintenance of enterprise GIS data repositories
- Performs application, database, and system administration functions; establishes security protocols and privileges; monitors and tunes database performance; establishes and maintains database backup and recovery processes; monitors server performance and utilization.
- Automate routines to incorporate and apply various schemas to datasets in order to improve database quality.

Educational Requirements
Bachelors in geography, spatial science, GIS or related field
Required Work Experience
At least five years' professional experience in the Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environment.
Required Knowledge
- Experience installing, configuring, and administering ArcGIS Enterprise in development and production environments.
- Familiarity with mobile data collection tools.
- Proficiency creating ESRI feature classes and domains and executing geoprocessing tools to develop and modify geodatabase entities.
- Familiar with administering ArcGIS Enterprise within Azure.
- Experience integrating GIS into various corporate systems.
- Proficiency with the Python programming language, FME Desktop and FME Server.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Python and API integrations

- Able to operate in a fast-paced work environment
