We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Banquets and Services to join our team. This role offers a unique and exciting opportunity to step into a position that is currently managed by the Area Director of Conference Services and Events, with anticipated changes in the title and responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing banquet services and events, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

- Direct and manage the execution of Banquet Services for all event levels, including food and beverage, meetings, events, trade shows, entertainment, and audiovisual requirements.
- Develop and implement standards, policies, and procedures to ensure the highest level of service.
- Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of all function spaces, both indoor and outdoor.
- Collaborate closely with the Area Director of Food, Beverage & Entertainment to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure events are executed flawlessly from inception to completion, meeting all client expectations and company standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the banquet team, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Maintain open communication with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure all needs and expectations are met.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to optimize profitability and control costs.
- Stay current with industry trends and continuously seek opportunities to improve service offerings.
Qualifications:
- Must speak fluent English and Spanish, including reading and writing.
- Minimum of five years of experience as a Director of Banquet Services and Events or in a similar role with proven tenure stability.
- Extensive experience managing high-volume banquet services.
- Preference for candidates with experience in Puerto Rico or the Caribbean.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Eager to grow and develop within the role and the company.
- Understanding of the demanding nature of Banquet, Catering, and Event services.
- Willingness to work weekends, evenings, early mornings, and long days during peak business periods.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions promptly.
