The Swift Group is looking for a DevOps Engineer to support a team working in a Linux based cloud environment. This position is located in Reston, VA.

Job Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Powershell, Bash, Python
- Experience in building and deploying large-scale . NET or Java web application
- Experience with highly available/responsive systems
- Ability to work within a Team with strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skill
- Strong working knowledge of Cloud environment and tools. AWS, Azure experience is a plus
- Knowledge of network topology, protocols, and debugging on Windows/Linux systems
- Proficient with Git and Git workflows
- Experience with server monitoring systems like Nagios (and derivatives)
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience (within the last 5 years) in DevOps engineering
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience working with a Linux operating system and bash shell scripts.
- Experience with Python, Java, or Ruby software development.
- Experience with FOSS/COTS integration.
- Experience in a virtualized infrastructure (e.g., VMware, AWS, Proxmox, Google Cloud Platform).
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience with customers DEVOPS tools such as GITHUB.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience working with PKI certificates, encryption protocols, SSL/TLS.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience with data exchange formats including JSON and XML.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience preparing required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience communicating with both technical and non-technical individuals and working on a team.
- Good understanding of data transfer protocols like FTP, SFTP, TFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, QUIC
- Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or other related scientific or technical discipline. Must have (5) additional years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
- US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
