The City of Falls Church is seeking a Group Home Manager to provide supervisory, administrative, and professional work in the operation of a community-based group home. This position will oversee a staff of ten full-time and eight temporary employees who provide day-to-day supervision of up to twelve youths. The Aurora House Girls Group Home is a 12 bed, non-secure community based temporary care residential program for adolescent females ages 13-20 experiencing court involvement or mental health concerns.
Aurora House's residential care counseling staff provide direct care to girls and their families by providing therapeutic services that address serious emotional, educational, and behavioral problems in a nurturing, structured, and supervised living environment. Aurora House services include individual, group, and family counseling, family therapy, educational enrichment, community service, and recreational activities.

Typical Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will function as part of the Court Services Management team and collaborates with other supervisors of the Court. The teamwork includes: advising and making recommendations to the Court, evaluating current programs, and recommending services to meet client needs. The employee must be proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Selection Criteria:
Minimum: Master's degree in social work, Psychology, Education, Sociology, or related field, plus considerable experience in administration of a group home with specific experience in case management and providing direct counseling services to juveniles and/or families.
Substitution: Additional qualifying related experience may be substituted for the Master's degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Desirable: Preference will be given to applicants with one or more of the following experience:

Applicant must possess, or obtain by time of appointment, a valid motor vehicle operator's license from the applicant's place of residence. The applicant must authorize Arlington County to obtain, or the applicant must provide, a copy of the applicant's official state/district driving record. Any offer of employment may be contingent upon a favorable review of the applicant's driving record.
Salary Range & Benefits: $95,000 to $115,000, depending on qualifications. This is a full time position with all City benefits. Typical Responsibilities:
- Establishing policies, procedures and supervision for all group home services, programs;
- Hiring, training, assigning, reviewing and evaluating all group home staff work;
- Overseeing behavioral health, medical, medication administration, and residential services;
- Managing vendor contracts.
- Monitoring operation and maintenance of the facility and its systems (e.g., Commercial kitchen, HVAC, fire suppression, surveillance cameras, utilities, grounds, etc.);
- Developing and managing a program budget of approximately $1,008,000;
- Collaborating with other professionals and stakeholders in the court system, schools, the Department of Human Services, and community groups;
- Maintaining program and individual client records and statistics in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations; and
- Participating in program audits conducted by the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) auditors, and Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) consultants.

- Interagency collaboration and coordination; and/or experience in program evaluation;
- Trainer in trauma-informed and evidence-based best practices for high-needs adolescents; and/or
- Bilingual (English and Spanish).
