THE PROJECT
- Leveraging cloud infrastructure, Linux Operating System (OS) and Splunk to deliver enterprise level infrastructure and applications using DevOps principles and Agile methodologies, the Sponsor requires engineering support for the Sponsor's specialized systems, comprised of a combination of COTS and GOTS software, for the operation and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure.
- Performing Data and Cloud Analytics through the ingesting of data from multiple sources and enriching data based on dynamic enrichment sources. The Sponsor requires support specializing in the development, execution, and maintenance of Cloud Analytics using Splunk while managing a moderate to heavy workload.
- Leveraging the Linux as a fundamental component to thousands of hosts deployed across the enterprise, the Sponsor is developing, deploying, and operating deterministic configuration management tools to ensure compliance with security requirements and adapt to new mission requirements along with leveraging information security support specializing in Nessus.
- Supporting specialized software development and software operations and maintaining (O&M) for new and legacy code on a Linux platform. The Sponsor is upgrading its legacy enterprise system that provides system health and status; allows command and control of hardware devices; performs system startup, shutdown and isolation; and provides inventory and layout.
THE ROLE
- Use existing enterprise services rather than building single-purpose solutions; any deviations require prior approval via the Sponsor-approved waiver process.
- Catalog, manage and protect application data using enterprise services.
- Fully describe and document mission solution architecture and interfaces, with any deviation requiring prior approval via the Sponsor-approved waiver process.
- Ensure each new application or system enhancement meets agreed upon performance SLAs for system up-time, concurrent users, and system recovery.
- Ensure that all new and existing Sponsor applications operate in compliance with applicable documents.
- With prior Sponsor approval, coordinate planned activities with all stakeholders.
- Monitor each application to provide status awareness and include a resolution plan for the application in the event of its failure.
- Comply with the Sponsor's Risk Management (i.e., cyber security) Framework to ensure that the program addresses and mitigates vulnerabilities and risks identified throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience with MySQL, Express.js, React.js. Node. Js (MERN) stack.
- Demonstrated experience performing Software or System Development on Linux Platforms.
- Demonstrated experience with Material UI.
- Demonstrated experience working with databases such as MySQL.
- Demonstrated experience developing worldwide enterprise solutions.
- Demonstrated experience designing, prototyping, and deploying software.
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise management of Linux hosts such as RHEL and CENTOS.
- Demonstrated experience with container technologies such as Docker.
- Demonstrated experience identifying tools and technologies useful to an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience integrating tools and technologies into an enterprise environment.
Desired Skills (Optional)
- Demonstrated experience programming in Bash.
- Demonstrated experience using Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) authentication.
- Demonstrated experience administering Linux servers.
- Demonstrated experience administering database servers.
- Demonstrated experience with basic networking.
