Twelve month, 260 day contract with salary as established by the Board in terms of the Administrative Provisions and based on experience and qualifications.
EVALUATION:

- Superintendent's license preferred
- Administrative license required
- Three (3) years of administrative experience required
JOB GOAL:
Provides strategic leadership and direction in the development and successful delivery of school improvement, student testing, assessment, research and evaluation activities ensuring compliance with Federal and state mandates, district policy and contractual provisions. Provides strategic leadership and oversees execution of all plans and activities under the district's title programs including special education, gifted and talented, ESL services.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises the development of curriculum for the district, grade 6 through grade twelve including the preparation of courses of study through committees.
- Direct the day-to-day activities of direct reports; manages assigned administrators. Duties include hiring, training, counseling, evaluating staff performance, and when necessary disciplining and/or discharging staff.
- Oversees the implementation of service delivery for Students with an Individual Education Plans, Gifted students and students with Limited English Proficiency.
- Monitors all funds in areas of responsibility cooperatively with the treasurer.
- Plans and directs services to the non-public schools as provided by the State of Ohio. Examples are Title I and auxiliary service funded programs.
- Manages the delivery of the district's school improvement activities to allow as many students as possible to meet/or exceed the standards and close the achievement gap between identified student populations and groups.
- Participates in preparation and implementation of the district's Continuous Improvement Plan; makes adjustments to assigned sections of the plan as needed.
- Provides leadership, direction and oversight in the successful development, delivery and coordination of the district's program and the student testing and assessments including presentation of results to various audiences both within and outside the district on how results can be utilized to improve student achievement.
- Oversees the development, implementation and coordination of the district's research and evaluation activities to assess the effectiveness of various strategic initiatives designed to improve student and operational performance.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of all data reported for the district to the Ohio Department of Education.
- Assist in the design, evaluation and revision of data collection, analysis, verification, validation and reporting processes/methods to ensure accuracy and completeness of data and proper flow of data to various users both within and outside the district.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the certified staff evaluation program and ensure the accuracy of evaluation reporting to the Ohio Department of Education.
- Meets with district administrators and others to discuss data needs, assist in interpretation and analysis of student and program data, and facilitate district and school continuous improvement initiatives through the use of data.
- Participates with other district administrators in long-range academic planning and decision-making; analyzes trends in data to create projections needed for decision-making.
- Develops and implements departmental objectives, procedures and standards; revises departmental work systems and procedures as necessary to improve the efficiency and productivity of the department.
- Monitors assigned functions to ensure compliance with related regulatory requirements and district standards; initiates corrective action as necessary.
- Participates in the creation of the district's vision, mission and strategic plan.
- Works cooperatively and maintains communication with other departments and external parties to resolve problems and exchange information.
- Maintains current knowledge of best practices, trends and new developments in educational program and student data testing, assessment, research and evaluation. Recommends and implements changes to methods and processes as necessary.
- Works with the Deputy Superintendent to plan and cooperatively determine the certified staff needs and prepares recommendations for the employment of teaching staff to meet the program requirements.
- Oversees the operations of the Enrollment Center.
- Coordinates all student teacher placements
- Processes all Ed Choice applications
- Oversees the College Credit Plus program.
- Performs other duties assigned
- Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue.
- Excellent observation and communication skills
- May perform strenuous tasks, such as lifting, when working with students.
- Assisting students with behavioral/management needs
- Frequent evening and/or weekend work
