Description
As a member of the Precision Health Platform engineering organization, you will build scaled, modular, composable, and interoperable platform services for handling multimodal precision health data across Verily products in care, clinical research and biomarker domains.
Responsibilities
- Write code most of the time!
- Create and implement a technical strategy to enable the platform to scale to a larger team, and c ultivate innovation by owning product areas and advocating for forward-looking technical strategies.
- Lead and review designs of major software components, systems, and features and i dentify and implement software development processes that enable your team to continuously improve design, implementation, test, deployment and maintenance.
- Work closely with privacy, security and quality reviewers to ensure compliance.
- Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field or equivalent experience.
- Hands on experience leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Demonstrated authority and mastery of a technical domain.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in software development.
- Experience delivering software using a general purpose programming language (e.g., C/C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, Go, Objective-C, and/or Swift).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience architecting and developing mobile clients and/or distributed systems.
- Clear written communication, especially in design and architecture documents.
- Experience working directly with end customers, stakeholders, cross functional teams.
- Experience working at a software product company.
- Demonstrated large scale business impact from delivered solutions.
- Interest and ability to learn new coding paradigms and languages.
