Typical Duties:
  • Design and architect power electronics systems, including DC link dynamics
  • Support manufacturing operations and automated production tests
  • Mitigate issues related to supplier management and component quality
  • Execute reliability engineering activities, such as FMEA, stress analysis, and tolerance analysis

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in power electronics design and development
  • Hands-on experience with the full product development lifecycle of electronics hardware and design
  • Ability to work with software and firmware controllers for converters and power distribution systems
  • Experience with rotating machine control and design for EMC/EMI compliance
  • Pre-existing knowledge of magnetic design for high-frequency applications and soft switching techniques


Preferred Skills and Education

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with design of DC-DC converters and motor drives with power levels of up to 500kW and DC link voltages to 1000V
  • Experience with Power Magnetics Design and electromagnetic concepts
  • Understanding of design for fault tolerance and reliability
