What You'll Do in This Position

The Business Manager - Pit Production Operations will be responsible for supporting the PPO Leadership team execute their strategic initiatives in all areas of business activities. Recommends site policy and often must engage site senior staff (SRNS President, Executive VPs, and VPs) as well as NNSA/DOE Senior Staff (Site Manager & Direct Reports, Assistant Managers) with respect to overall management of major business issues.

Manages activities for a functional area of Site Integration. Manages implementation of site policy and often must interact with peers and customers with respect to specific implementation issues. Sometimes called upon to represent immediate manager and assist with immediate manager's duties and responsibilities.

Major Responsibility

1.Manages the activities of individual contributors in a functional area and has responsibility for the successful operation of that functional area.
2.Acts under direction of immediate manager. Decisions have effect on the success or the failure of specific objectives.
3.Implements both short and long term business plans as directed that contribute to the success of the division.
4.Acts on behalf of immediate manager in their absence including all responsibilities and functions.
5.Establishes effective training program for subordinates to insure development of necessary business skills.
6.Held responsible for effective use of direct staff and budget.
7.Effectively executes scope within established policies and procedures and maintain compliance with all State and Federal laws and regulations.

Qualifications We Desire

- Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Finance, Project Controls, and Contracts organizations
- Experience with DOE Order 413.3 preferred
