We are seeking a full-time IT Project Manager for a position located in the Bay & Bay Transportation corporate office in Eagan, MN. In this role, you will manage cross functional project teams to deliver larger impactful initiatives to our Logistics business division. Reporting directly to the CIO, this position would work closely with business leaders in our multi-modal logistics and refrigerated logistics divisions to analyze, plan, and deliver systems and technologies that drive business growth.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
We are seeking a full-time IT Project Manager for a position located in the Bay & Bay Transportation corporate office in Eagan, MN. In this role, you will manage cross functional project teams to deliver larger impactful initiatives to our Logistics business division. Reporting directly to the CIO, this position would work closely with business leaders in our multi-modal logistics and refrigerated logistics divisions to analyze, plan, and deliver systems and technologies that drive business growth.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Hands-on role as a project/program manager for larger projects involving our TMS, core financials (ERP), or other freight technologies.
- Establish success metrics for the team based on needs of the business.
- Work with business leaders and representatives to set and manage expectations over a broad array of projects.
- Act as a change agent to help bring IT and business to next generation of thinking about how technology can be leveraged to advance the business.
- Work with business leaders and IT engineering groups to manage priorities (Agile backlog) for Logistics projects.
- Negotiate and manage reasonable timelines for delivery of projects.
- Work with IT's infrastructure and security team to ensure projects involving logistics systems are and remain secure.
- Leverage Cloud-based software and services to ensure solutions are elastic and scalable.
- Contribute thought leadership when it comes to transportation technology options and solutions that would best serve the fast-paced business.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in applicable area, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of transportation technology experience.
- 3+ years of project/program management experience.
- 3+ year experience with an Agile framework, such as Scrum Alliance.
- Strong change management skills are a must.
- Experience working with a Transportation Management System (TMS) is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with transportation technology solutions like digital freight matching, carrier relationship management, RPA, EDI, and tracking solutions desired.
- Exposure to industry events and groups such as TIA, TCA, ATA, or vendor-hosted.
