The ideal candidate will assist the medical director with oversight and support of all clinical and non-clinical activities provided by the hospitalist program.
In this role your responsibilities will be:
- Promoting a culture of excellence in patient care
- Assist in managing the clinical, financial, human and capital resources of the facility
- Participate in the development and implementation of best practices
- Provide guidance and support to hospitalist team members
- Work closely with medical director and other departments to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care
- Assist medical director in identifying areas for improvement in clinical services and implement strategies to enhance care delivery
Job Qualifications and Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Board certification in internal medicine (IM)
- Strong clinical skills and a thorough understanding of hospital medicine
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of healthcare professionals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff, administration and patients
- Ability to encourage team members to achieve their best and fostering a positive work environment
- Strong commitment to quality improvement and patient safety
- Previous hospital medicine leadership experience preferred
