TeamHealth is seeking an experienced and dynamic assistant medical director to join our leadership team at Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Georgia, near Atlanta. The ideal candidate will assist the medical director with oversight and support of all clinical and non-clinical activities provided by the hospitalist program.

In this role your responsibilities will be:
  • Promoting a culture of excellence in patient care
  • Assist in managing the clinical, financial, human and capital resources of the facility
  • Participate in the development and implementation of best practices
  • Provide guidance and support to hospitalist team members
  • Work closely with medical director and other departments to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care
  • Assist medical director in identifying areas for improvement in clinical services and implement strategies to enhance care delivery

Job Qualifications and Skills:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO)
  • Board certification in internal medicine (IM)
  • Strong clinical skills and a thorough understanding of hospital medicine
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of healthcare professionals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff, administration and patients
  • Ability to encourage team members to achieve their best and fostering a positive work environment
  • Strong commitment to quality improvement and patient safety
  • Previous hospital medicine leadership experience preferred
