Job Description
CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our Corporate HR team. This individual provides advice, assistance and participates on strategic and routine Human Resource (HR) matters to a business unit or corporate group/function leaders, managers and employees. Leads and/or participates in the planning, organization and use of human resources programs, policies and procedures in accordance with the firm's objectives and strategic plans; performs complex analytical analysis under limited direction.
Leads and/or provides enterprise guidance to managers and employees on HR strategies, policies, and programs. Administers HR programs, policies and procedures including but not limited to employment, compensation, benefits, affirmative action, employee relations, employee development, performance management, Human Resource Information System (HRIS), recruitment support and relocation.
Serves as an advisor to managers and staff on employee relations issues and provides guidance and advisement to managers on providing feedback on employee performance including addressing performance issues. Investigates, addresses, and resolves conflicts and provides feedback on grievances, discipline and discrimination issues. Responds to employees' inquiries and information requests and advises managers on HR policies and procedures. Seeks legal guidance when needed. Tracks training compliance, manages employee status changes, prepares off cycle forms and supports other HR administrative requirements.
Provides support to Director of HR Operations as needed on engagement, workforce planning, identification of high potentials, succession planning and workforce planning.
Provides Employee Relations program support for accommodations, employees helping employees, unemployment and outplacement including monitoring and analyzing vendor reporting.
Manages and updates employee status and termination templates.
Develops global HR policies in partnership with local HRBPs and outside counsel. Updates US local and HR enterprise policies.
Maintains detailed knowledge of company policies, programs, and procedures as well as global/federal/state/local employment laws and regulation and communicates and trains HR business partners, managers and employees.
Leads or participates in human resources projects or program development activities.
Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
5 years of related experience.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
