Salary Range: $100,700 - $142,929 (Grade C-732 hay points)
Compression Minimum: $149,230
Responsibilities
This position is accountable for ensuring the safe and reliable provision of bus service while being assigned to a depot or road operations for Buses. If assigned in a depot, the incumbent will be responsible for monitoring Bus Operator performance and defining and maintaining increased levels of productivity. Ensure the availability and quality of Bus Operators. Carry out effective availability programs, utilizing appropriate disciplinary methods and coordinates with training to ensure Bus Operators are consistently trained, re-trained and remain 19A qualified. If assigned to road operations, the incumbent will be responsible for customer service delivery and bus performance throughout a borough or local/express routes. Research and develop responses to passengers, community or agency inquiries. Address service problems and recommend short/long term solutions. In addition, the incumbent will also be required to provide overall policy direction and enforcement of safety guidelines for Bus Operators; as well as investigate road equipment/depot safety hazards and other potential safety problems. The incumbent may also rotate to the Command Center.
Education and Experience
Desired Skills
1. Extensive depot/division transportation operations experience or administrative experience in an operating environment.
2. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
3. Experience in the management of a large, multi-location, multi-faceted, line-based organization with the ability to implement
executive policies and procedures.
4. Knowledge of Buses rules and regulations and union contracts.

Education and Experience
- Eight (8) years of related experience, at least four (4) years of which must have been in a supervisory/managerial capacity
- Must have previous experience in the title of Assistant General Superintendent Transportation or an equivalent title; or
- A satisfactory equivalent of the combined education/experience requirements
