Warehouse Operations Manager

Midland Industries, a rapidly growing manufacturing and distribution company in Kansas City, MO is now hiring for an energetic and conscientious Warehouse Operations Manager to lead the warehouse team and distribution efforts. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a high growth environment that uses the latest technology to maximize efficiency, and will have distribution leadership experience with brass fittings, valves, and accessories for hoses, pipes, and tubes in various materials.

Warehouse Operations Manager Job Responsibilities:

• Accomplishes warehouse operations by recruiting, selecting, training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Oversees distribution, warehousing, and shipping.
• Meets warehouse operations by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, and scheduling expenditures.
• Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage.
• Manages warehouse operations by stock control, inventory management, and motivating employees.
• Maintains a safe environment.
• Develops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems.
• Develops warehouse operations systems by analyzing process workflow and implementing changes.
• Achieves warehouse operations by contributing recommendations and following policies.

Warehouse Operations Manager Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent data entry and data processing skills
• Proficient in schedule and report creation
• Skilled in analyzing information
• Ability to multitask on a team and alone
• Ability to manage processes successfully
• Proficient in Profit 21 is preferred
• Robotic picking experience is preferred

Education and Experience Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of warehouse operations leadership experience managing 50+ employees.
• A bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus in operations management, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Experience with supplying and distributing materials such as brass fittings, valves, and accessories for hose, pipe and tube in brass, bronze, stainless steel, steel, malleable iron, and plastics.
