Job Description
SCOPE OF POSITION
The Manager, Clinical Quality Data Science & Analytics is responsible for leading Ballad Health efforts to transform clinical quality data into information and knowledge to drive improvements in healthcare and leads the analysis of key performance improvement information. He/She works directly with the VP of Quality and Performance Improvement regarding COPA dashboards and data/needs, Clinical Council, Service Lines, and dashboard development for IBM Watson. This role also works closely with CMOs, and organizational leadership to ensure all quality, safety, and service data needs are met. This role is responsible for assembling/coordinating regulatory data that is evaluated for pay-for-performance and affects positive financial results. He/she serves in a supervisory capacity with oversight of the coordination and planning of all Clinical Quality Data Science and Analytics Specialists. This role serves as the quality representative at various clinical subcommittee meetings providing updates related to Ballad Health various data, delivering presentations and coordinating report requests. The manager is responsible for hiring, training, and manages the workloads of a highly technical and professional team of Clinical Quality Data Science & Analytics Specialists, and is responsible for performance evaluations, professional development, and productivity of this team. Additionally, the manager provides educational communications to Ballad leadership and others, develops and delivers explanations of data and analysis, and manages relationships with key data and analytical tool vendors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in statistics, health informatics, or business required, Masters degree preferred. Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS Access, Crystal and SQL programming, and well versed in SPC or statistical concepts. Experience with statistical software is necessary.
