Summary

The Director of Ministry Engagement will enhance Bible League's US Ministry by researching, developing and implementing strategies to increase the Bible League's effectiveness in ministering to the US church, raising resources for the Global ministries of the Bible League and increasing engagement of existing, new and potentially new segments of growth by:
  • Evaluating, Co-ordinating and championing, existing and in the pipeline, Bible league material for its effectiveness and marketability to the US church and partners.
  • Developing new program elements which will help the Bible League engage with new markets, population segments, partners within the US with special attention to millennial engagement.
  • Enhance engagement of our US churches, donors and partners in our worldwide ministry.
  • Oversee our donor relations team, increasing their effectiveness and expanding their

involvement with the DRD's and the ministry of Bible League worldwide.

This is to be done by working cross functionally with all different teams within the Bible League and with all segments of the advancement division. This will also entail the close working with the US ministries teams and Ministry Support teams to enhance everyone's effectiveness and efficiency as a reflection of our desire to be good stewards of God's resources.

Duties

  • Develop and Lead cross functional teams to assess, evaluate and develop current and appropriate products to enhance the ability of the Bible League to work alongside the US Church in enhance it's role in reaching the lost and building life long disciples of Jesus Christ in all segments of the church.
  • Develop programs that will lead to increased engagement with the Bible League both in the US and worldwide through short and long term mission experiences.
  • Define and keep current on societal and population trends in order to develop new programs and resources so that the Bible League is able to keep current with and eventually be ahead of the emerging ministry needs of the US church as society changes.
  • Enhance ministry exposure to the next generation of church leaders by designing and implementation of internships and other ministry engagement opportunities within the Bible League.
  • Ensuring continued development, enhancement and smooth transitions of our existing donor base.
  • Development of relationships with new donors with a goal of walking with them so that they will become consistent, continuously engaged, and increasing givers as their life circumstances allow.
  • To focus on new ways to reach relapsed churches and donors, and leading them to engage with the Bible League in a new and consistently growing way.
  • Work well with other departments and be open to change as needed.
  • Travel as required (estimated travel will be up to 50% of annual work time).
  • Performs additional duties as required.


  • Organizational Relationships

    Reports to: VP of Church and Donor Relations

    Collaborates with: Internal groups, DRD's, Volunteers, Planned Giving, Church Relations and Engagement, Marketing and Development, HR, Partner Services, Global Field Operations, and anyone else that will help in achieving our mission as an organization.

    Qualifications
  • Must be a Christian, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must also agree with our statement of faith and conduct his/herself in a Christ-like manner.
  • Bachelors degree preferred with experience in any or all of the following, organizational development, program development, research & marketing, communication, Christian ministries, network development and donor development
  • This individual should also have a continuous desire to learn and is adaptable to change, as well able to work with teams across the organization effectively.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently, including fulfillment of essential responsibilities outside of the corporate office
  • Propensity to address essential responsibilities with creativity, conscientiousness, and stewardship

    Performance Evaluations

    You will meet with your manager in alignment with our fiscal year to discuss accomplishments and priorities four times per fiscal year.
