Compensation:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $65,954 - $78,079 (TA)
Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $76,577 - $85,288 (TA)

Associate Transit Management Analyst: $86,565 - $112,083 (TA)

Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will support the Facilities and Safety Unit's various tasks which include bringing over 850 rooms throughout 4 boroughs into a state of good repair, as a single point of contact between Field Operations and all maintenance, reconstruction and rehabilitation groups and the central point for purchase of equipment. Incumbent will interface with Enterprise Asset Management, Recovery and Resiliency and Tower Hardening Initiatives. Field visits will be required to obtain data, provide analysis and reporting for special projects such as Step Aside boxes, cleaning costs of RTO Facilities, System Safety Audits, division wide safety tasks and related Internal Control Review Activities. The selected candidate will perform information technology functions related to implementation and migration of Enterprise Document Management and the MTA's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). The candidate will prepare and coordinate system deliverables for various disciplines such as EAM and Document Management integration to asset management systems, and mobile technologies. Liaise with IT Systems experts on hardware and software issues that affect the availability and accessibility of content management systems. The candidate will be responsible for operating various Excel spreadsheets to record and track inspections' findings of on-going field projects such as Field Operations Structural Inspections, Room Conditions, Asset Tags' Surveys, EAM Site Readiness, STOP Cards Summary Audits, Emergency Evacuation Devices, daily analyses of RTO employees' Injuries-on-Duty and/or Work Orders. The incumbent will provide monthly and/or bi-yearly reports on lost time trends and provide recommendation to management to obtain optimum efficiency in utilization the equipment and resources available to bring the facilities in a state of good repair. Periodically, the candidate will complete annual Fire Extinguishers inspections, dispatch work orders and submit plaques and signs requests. Also, the candidate will represent General Superintendent and/or Superintendent in safety meetings regarding Field Operations' facilities' projects, repairs and their progress.

Education and Experience:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II
  • Master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and ONE (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, maps, drawings and technical reports; OR
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in `1' above; and TWO (2) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in `1' above.

Associate Transit Management Analyst
  • Master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, accounting, transportation planning or urban planning and TWO (2) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in an analytical or technical capacity. ONE (1) year must have been in the mass transportation industry; OR
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in business administration public administration, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, accounting or urban planning, and three years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the areas described in `1' above. ONE (1) year of this experience must have been in the mass transportation industry.

Selection Method:

All appointments. with the exception of Department of Subways employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
