The OR Nurse Manager's primary duty is to ensure high quality patient care. Additionally, he/she is responsible for ASC clinical team scheduling, evaluating the performance of staff nurses, providing feedback and mentoring, assisting with education programs, and contributing to staff professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate activities of clinical and business operations of the facility
  • Direct, monitor, and evaluate activities to ensure professional medical/nursing care for each patient and respond appropriately to mitigate and resolve any patient complaints
  • Develop/implement entity specific policies and procedures affecting daily operations and standard of conduct
  • Provide direction for evaluation of all facility programs and committee activities, including but not limited to the Quality Management Improvement, Risk Management, Safety, Infection Control, and delegate responsibilities to appropriate personnel
  • Monitor/review performance evaluations of all clinical employees
  • Monitor/review appropriate scheduling/staffing activities of patients, physicians, and personnel to ensure quality of services and cost effectiveness
  • Provide direction for employee training and motivation
  • Monitor/assist in the credentialing proces
  • Develop/monitor guidelines and standards for assuring compliance with state licensure, CMS, federal regulations (OSHA, CLIA, etc.) and accreditation
  • Oversee the activities of recruiting, selection, supervision, and counseling of nursing personnel
  • Provide appropriate personnel/resources to conduct Center activities
  • Provide a safe environment for all customers and employees by implementing preventative maintenance programs
  • Perform other administrative duties as delegated or assigned by the Board of Directors


Qualifications

  • Master's Degree and Registered Nurse licensed to practice nursing in the state of the practice applying to
  • At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience ideally in both clinical and business venues and ambulatory surgery center environment
  • Preference will be given to candidates with: Peri-operative Nursing Experience or Other Specialty Nursing Experience (ICU, ER, OB
  • Documented IV experience outside of training program
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
