This individual will manage the contract as the Project Manager (PM) while also supporting functions as the Sports Director for all ARCP events. In this position, the PM oversees and manages all contracted staff supporting this contract (full-time and part-time "job" employees). This individual will be an integral member of the ARCP Adaptive Reconditioning team on all projects and responsible for ensuring the completion and delivery of all contract deliverables. The Adaptive Reconditioning program is under the direction of the Adaptive Reconditioning Branch Chief.

The Adaptive Reconditioning program is under the direction of the Adaptive Reconditioning Branch Chief.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Shall develop, implement, and maintain an effective Quality Control System which includes a written Quality Control Plan (QCP). The QCP shall implement standardized procedure/methodology for monitoring and documenting contract performance to ensure all contract requirements are met.
- Responsible for hosting regularly scheduled meetings with the contracted event staff leading up to the events and provide Adaptive Reconditioning Branch Chief or designee with meeting minutes. The Project Manager (PM)/Sports Director shall facilitate appropriate communication between ARCP, Soldiers/Athletes and contracted event staff. The Project Manager ((PM)/Sports Director shall provide information to contracted event staff that include event schedule, Soldier/Athlete information, rules and adjudication process for each event, venue maps, and answer any questions from contracted staff. The Project Manager (PM)/Sports Director shall oversee the development and reporting of operations and facilitate appropriate communication between Soldiers and Coaches before, during and after events.
- Shall conduct SRU site visits with the approval and at the direction of the ARCP AR Branch Chief and the COR. During the site visit the Project Manger shall observe local programming, ensure SRU contracted staff are completing deliverables, assist contracted staff with troubleshooting any discrepancies, review equipment and inventory and assist in any additional ways as requested by Adaptive Reconditioning government representative.
- Responsible for recruitment, management and oversight of contracted support staff including full-time staff (SRU RTs, ARPS, and the Supervisory RT, Supervisory ARPS, Equipment and Logistics Coordinator, and Operations Specialist).
- In the absence of full-time contractor staff due to leave, sickness, etc., the PM/Sports Director will task an individual to complete duties/deliverables of the absent contractor.
- Responsible for the recruitment, management, and oversight of part-time staff (coaches, mechanics, sport officials, instructors, and support staff) for SRU and ARCP Adaptive Reconditioning events. The PM/Sports Director shall identify all necessary roles to execute events and make recommendation to AR Branch Chief or designee.
- Shall design a Concept of Operations (CONOPs) for sporting/recreation events to include practice and competition schedules, detailed operation schedules for each event, inclement weather plans, venue requirements, and venue staffing, and equipment needs.
- Shall support ARCP Adaptive Reconditioning Program Team in identifying venues and personnel support requirements for ARCP Adaptive Reconditioning events and activities. The PM/Sports Director shall research venues and present options to the ARCP Adaptive Reconditioning Branch Chief or designee for decision and coordinate the scheduling of the selected venue.
- Responsible for working with the chosen military installations venue and/or facilities manager at his/her venue to reserve facilities and work through any facility issues/tasks, and communicate any issues to government the POC.
- Conduct pre-event site visits to review proposed facilities, equipment, and staff support as required for regional, national, and international Adaptive Reconditioning events. The PM/Sports Director shall coordinate the tracking of pertinent data and information and shall be responsible for identifying and coordinating necessary components to execute events and communicating needs that must be met by the government to ARCP AR Branch Chief or designee.
- Responsible for ensuring competition results are accurate and are provided to ARCP Adaptive Reconditioning Branch Chief and OIC within 24 hours of sporting event culmination, or earlier as required.
- Shall aid the ARCP Adaptive Reconditioning Branch Chief and OIC in selecting Soldiers and Veterans to compete at events, including evaluation based on abilities, skills, and coach recommendations, as well as non-skill/ability qualities such as teamwork, attitude, work ethic, etc.
- Review rules for each event/classification and review rules with individual coaches for each event to ensure compliance, both at the events and in the event selection process.
- Coordinate, plan and execute the lodging plan for event staff (contractor and government) and athletes/participants.
- Shall aid in the development of After-Action Reports (AAR) by soliciting and collecting feedback from contracted event staff and providing to the Supervisory Recreation Therapist for consolidation.
- Shall coordinate with other organizations as needed, including, but not limited to: Department of Veteran's Affairs (VA); Military, Community and Family Programs Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR); Other Service Wounded Warrior Programs; Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO); Veteran's Service Organizations (VSO); Various Disabled Service Organizations, Non-Profit Organizations. The PM/Sports Director will work closely with donor groups, the gift coordinator, volunteer groups and non-profit organizations for events as needed including event venues, travel, per diem, meals, supplies and equipment required, and provide meeting minutes to AR Branch Chief

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of sports industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and/or sports management.
- At least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Financial acumen and budget management experience.
