Overview
National multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a talented Job Captain to join their Los Angeles office. In this role, you will be working on all phases of design & construction documentation of education, civic, and cultural projects. This position requires excellent time management, communication, and technical skills as you work closely with your team developing design concepts into high quality documents.
The firm has 11 offices all around the world focusing on healthcare, arts and culture, community, corporate, education, and government projects. Recently, the firm won the prestigious American Architecture Award for Museums and Cultural Building, along with IIDA Healthcare Design Award.

Responsibilities
- Able to work collaboratively, as project design and delivery is team-based
- Prepare high-quality construction documents with established office standards in Revit
- Able to develop and document design-oriented details in close collaboration with the Design Principal and Project Architect
- Manage consultants and consultant deliverables
- Familiarity with specifications
- Familiarity with building codes and agency requirements
- Able to critically review and markup architectural and consultant drawings in Bluebeam for conformance with design intent, code compliance, and consultant coordination
- Able to manage your own time and the time of junior staff to ensure project deadlines are met
- Able to mentor junior staff to succeed in the project and their careers
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have:
- Professional degree in Architecture
- 5+ years of experience on medium to large projects; healthcare experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Revit required
- Strong 2D and 3D graphics skills
- Experience with Enscape is desirable but not required
- Able to communicate effectively in meetings and correspondence
