Junior Quant Researcher - NLP Team

Our client is in a period of exciting growth and expansion within the NLP space. This exciting role within our group will provide you with the opportunity to deploy state of the art NLP technologies to make a lasting impact on the firm's data and investment processes.

This role will work in an equities-focused quantitative research team that researches and produces alternative data by Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning used throughout the firm.

As a Junior Quantitative Researcher on our NLP Team, you will:

• Conduct quantitative research and deliver insights related to:
  • New alternative data and/or improving existing data processing pipelines
  • NLP/Machine learning models
• Automate and maintain production of research output
• Build tools that are essential to equity research

To be considered a good technical fit, you must have:

• A Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Math, Statistics, or a related field. Or equivalent experience
• Strong programming experience with Python
• Experience with other OOP languages such as Java, C++, C#, etc.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement appropriate solutions
• Outstanding track record of academic achievement and an interest in financial markets
• Graduate or undergraduate work in computer science, engineering, math, statistics, finance, economics, or another quantitative field is strongly desired
• 2+ years of work experience in a quantitative role
