Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Network Engineer within our team. This role offers remote work opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include

• Create Wide Area Network (WAN) designs using Palo Alto and customer's state-wide WAN.
• Design and configure network segmentation and access control using VSYS and Security Zones.
• Work with the security team to gather requirements for traffic control.
• Design and configure rules, policies, and routes to limit egress traffic.
• Collaborate with the customer's Palo Alto administration team to create designs and rule specifications for deployment to their on-premises instances .
• Monitor network traffic, threats , and availability using Palo Alto Panorama and Prisma.
• Document all network configuration changes, updates, and upgrades to ensure that configurations comply with client requirements.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Expertise in defining network security policies in Panorama , including inbound, outbound , and internet traffic across various network segments.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience maintaining / configuring Panorama and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Troubleshooting network connectivity including log dumps and Wireshark analysis.
• At least five years of hands-on experience with c ore networking concepts , including:
• Network Protocols
• Routing/Switching
• Firewall Access Control Layers
• Ability to create technical design documentation, including solution diagrams and descriptions.
• Previous experience implementing network designs and configurations for Wide Area Networks.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience implementing Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls in a cloud environment such as AWS.
• Experience integrating AWS Direct Connect with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Proficiency in AWS networking services such as VPC, Route53, and Transit Gateway.
• Experience implementing Palo Alto Global Protect for VPNs.
• Knowledge of other network platforms such as Cisco .

T he wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $125,000 to $130,000.
