The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for an aircraft Maintenance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting the HR3DGI mission. In this mission, we configure, man, deploy, and maintain FAA certified aircraft for CONUS and OCONUS collection of high-resolution, three dimensional geospatial information that Leidos processes, disseminates, stores and maintains to improve warfare planning.
The Maintenance Manager reports to the Director of Maintenance and is responsible for managing the health of the HR3DGI aircraft fleet, logistics flow and provide field and program support as required. The diversity of working conditions range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc.
Incumbents may be required to work in areas where high noise hazards, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards exist.

Job Description
- Provide oversight of all aircraft maintenance activities through forecasting and scheduling for all aircraft Airframe, Engine, Propeller and Landing Gear inspections and repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot all Beechcraft King Air aircraft systems to provide an effective solution via email and phone.
- Manage all engines for the assigned programs, including, but not limited to; Engine Overhauls (TBO): Engine Repairs and Hot section kit movements
- Manage all propellers for the assigned programs, including, but not limited to: Propeller overhauls, Propeller repairs, Landing Gear inspection forecasting and logistics
- Coordinate the movement of material and cores to and from the sites.
- Participate in teleconferences as required.
- Validation of maintenance tracking software entries.
- Submit daily, weekly or monthly reports as required.
- Track shipping, receiving and issuing of aircraft material.
- Perform Airworthiness Directive (AD) and Service Bulletin (SB) research.
- POC for all personnel deployment schedules.
- Interact with subcontractors to schedule needed services
Education:
- Associates degree and 10+ years aviation maintenance experience
- Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
FAA Requirements:
- Current FAA A&P certificate is required
- Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
General Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have a current civilian driver's license
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must have an advanced understanding of integrated avionics and electrical systems
- Must have working knowledge of aircraft safety directives
- Must be able to work flex time and travel CONUS and OCONUS as required to support operations
- Must have a minimum of ten (10) years aircraft mechanic experience on King Air series aircraft
- Experience using common or special hand tools and test equipment as required for aircraft maintenance
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of aircraft records
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of using aircraft technical publications with the ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams, drawings, and charts
- Must be capable of completing and passing a physical exams and CONUS Replacement Center (CRC)
- Must have proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as maintenance database and tracking software
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim DOD SECRET security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DOD SECRET security clearance
- Inspection Authorization (IA) is desired
- Rockwell/Collins Proline 21 experience is a plus
- Garmin G1000NXI experience is a Plus
