SUMMARY:
Identify and develop new growth and business opportunities within the Medical Products Safety Compliance division utilizing market research and analysis and all sales techniques including cold calls, trade show leads, network connections, and industry contacts. This role reports into the Medical Regional Field Manager with a dotted line to the Medical Global Business Development Manager.

SUMMARY:
Identify and develop new growth and business opportunities within the Medical Products Safety Compliance division utilizing market research and analysis and all sales techniques including cold calls, trade show leads, network connections, and industry contacts. This role reports into the Medical Regional Field Manager with a dotted line to the Medical Global Business Development Manager.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and qualify new leads for medical device services
- Maintain thorough and detailed knowledge of TUV's services in order to communicate them to potential clients.
- Determine and implement marketing strategies to increase business. Analyze and research market data and trends to identify markets for new clients; review market conditions and direction; create marketing plans: and develop understanding of target clients' business perspectives and issues.
- Utilize a variety of sales techniques including cold calls, trade show leads, network connections, and industry contacts, promote TUV services through the identification and development of new growth and business opportunities through acquisition of new clients or through additional revenues from existing clients.
- Make calls, have face to face meetings, and develop and deliver sales presentations to various levels of potential client management.
- Recruit, quote, negotiate the terms of agreement, and closing new business deals. Will have goals/quotas to fulfill and will be evaluated on the achievement/failure of these goals.
- Update the CRM to capture all business development activities related to customer contacts, activities, and contractual agreements.
- Develop and maintain contacts and prospect lists to expand industry awareness of TUV services and generate new business.
- Act as liaison with client and other TUV staff including sales team, technical staff, and other domestic or international TUV offices as necessary. Coordinate with TUV functions (Engineering, Auditing, Inspection, etc.) to ensure technical capacity and capabilities for service delivery. Ensure customer satisfaction is achieved
- Provide reporting to management that shows sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. Update and maintain CRM database
- Expand knowledge of industry as well as competitive posture of the company
- Travel to and participate in various trade shows as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work effectively under pressure, prioritize, and multi-task.
- Must have excellent analytical skills
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures as well as business practices and product information
- Ability to interface with all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to travel significant amount of time. May include international travel. Valid Passport and Driver's License required
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Materials Science or a Life Science (Biology, Chemistry, Medicine, and Pharmacy) or equivalent education and/or experience
Experience:
- At least 5 years' experience in medical device or Biotech industry
- Knowledge of the medical device testing process and the role of industry research including, but not limited to: EMC, FDA, Safety compliance testing
- Knowledge of medical quality management system standards and regulations
- ISO 13485, MDSAP, EU MDR, UK MDR
- 61010, 62638, 17025, 60601 -1 and -2
- Travel up to 60% potentially
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling crouching, crawling, and balancing. Individual must be able to verbally communicate with visitors, employees, and callers. Individual must be able to execute written communications with the use of computer. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery and computers. While at exhibitions/trade shows may be required to do some medium lifting for set up and stand for extended periods of time while speaking with vendors and potential clients. Significant travel required.
