As the People Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in Fellow's growth and long-term success in building a world-class employee experience. You will do this by partnering with the Director of People to execute People Ops strategies and programs that support our business objectives and evolve, develop, and grow our culture. This role requires strong partnership and communication with cross-functional teams company-widel.
This position will be an individual contributor role, reporting to the Director of People.

Responsibilities
- Manage tracking and documenting internal employee changes and assist in keeping our employee record systems error-free and up-to-date.
- Update knowledge management tools and HRIS (Paylocity, Lattice, Google Suite, Airbase) with the latest information.
- Administer HR Compliance Reporting; ensure compliance calendar is up to date with all relevant reporting events and up to date with completion statuses, leverage internal and external partners such as internal counsel, HR management, and Sequoia One in completing required regulatory compliance reporting.
- Respond to requests and provide information to third parties such as verification of employment, Social Security, assist Director of People with processing EDD disability and unemployment claims
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
- Manage leave of absence requests and ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Support the Director of People in the offboarding process for departing employees, including processing termination paperwork, and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Partner with the Director of People to Identify procedural gaps and work with cross-functional teams to address them with the assistance and support.
- Own the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientations, collecting required documentation, and coordinating with various departments.
- Support Director of People in parental leave of absence tracking and documentation.
- Work cross-functionally with recruiting, office ops, and all other functions to support in People Ops responsibilities.
- Assist in annual agency auditing and reporting, such as 401(k), EEOC, California pay data, and health plans.
- Support in responding to company wide People Ops requests and feedback to create a world-class in office experience.
- Assist Director or People in administering employee benefits programs and total rewards such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Oversee Color Teams program
- Plan and lead in office events with the support of the People Ops team
- Assist in projects, events and initiatives as needed for the executive team.
Requirements
- 3-4+ years of experience as a HR Generalist, People Ops or similar type of position.
- SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Experience working in / being the admin for Paylocity, Lattice, Google Suite, Asana, Airbase and Sequoia One.
- Knowledge of California State + Federal employment laws / regulations, compliance, workers compensation, SFHCO, etc.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and project management skills.
- Analytical with a strong attention to detail.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Experience supporting the Accounting department in payroll processing, invoicing, etc.
- Ability to position self as credible, proactive and a trusted thought-partner.
- Proven track record in the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential matters with compassion and equity.
