1. Valid New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) PK - 12 Administrative License
2. Must have at least five years of successful teaching experience.
3. Hold a Master's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
4. Experience as a K-12 school administrator
5. Curriculum development and program design experience in the area of on-line learning.
6. Up-to-date with the latest research related to teaching, learning, and on-line instruction
7. Have experience in developing and delivering professional development.
8. Hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
9. Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to motivate people.
10. Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
11. Demonstrate an understanding of the regulations regarding the operations of schools and academies.
12. Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and the interpersonal skills to relate well with, motivate, and inspire students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
13. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary, multilingual preferred.
14. Demonstrate the ability to use current technology.
15. Meet such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Deputy Superintendent of Teaching, Learning, Leadership, and Research may find appropriate and acceptable.
