Responsibilities
  • Environmental Impact Assessment: Conduct comprehensive environmental impact assessments, including site investigations, data collection, and analysis, to evaluate potential environmental risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations by monitoring and interpreting environmental laws, permits, and standards. Develop and implement compliance strategies for projects.
  • Environmental Remediation: Manage and oversee environmental remediation projects, including the design, implementation, and monitoring of remedial actions to address soil and groundwater contamination.
  • Environmental Permitting: Prepare and submit permit applications, such as wetlands, air quality, and stormwater permits, and liaise with regulatory agencies to facilitate permit approval processes.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop sustainable solutions and advise on best practices for minimizing the environmental impact of engineering projects. Stay up-to-date with emerging environmental technologies and trends.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License: A valid Professional Engineer license in New Jersey or the ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in environmental engineering, including project management and regulatory compliance.
  • Environmental Regulations: Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting processes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in environmental modeling software, GIS, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
