Reporting to the Director of Global Sourcing at the headquarters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, this sourcing leadership position drives "Total Cost of Ownership" optimization with accountability for developing, leading, and implementing category and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Strategies. This role involves significant amounts of hands-on sourcing work both domestically and internationally and draws from a depth of knowledge from prior experiences. The role supports activities throughout the complete supply chain system, including Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), cost reduction, purchasing, strategic sourcing, and a high level of integration between sourcing strategies and other functional departments to achieve new business awards. This position is an individual contributor with leadership responsibilities for specific sourcing categories as assigned.

Essential Duties:
  • Develop and improve Global Sourcing strategy and implement best practices and procedures for the responsible product categories spend.
  • On-going exploration of emerging markets to improve product sourcing strategy.
  • Conduct global market competitiveness tests to ensure our purchase price aligns with the market.
  • Perform Should cost Analysis for the responsible product categories spend.
  • Monitoring global commodity prices to ensure purchase price aligns with the market.
  • Participate in New Product Development and provide sourcing guidance to the functional team.
  • Monitoring supply base within the category for continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Own and drive day-to-day supplier cost, delivery, quality, and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the supply-chain process and implement solutions to improve performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to reduce costs, streamline business processes, and meet the business and customer's needs.
  • Facilitate supplier discussions to support material flow, projects, and cost reduction objectives.
  • Support contract creation and execution for key supplier relationships.
  • Support RFQs, evaluate proposals, negotiate prices, and award business.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with strategic suppliers in the category.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Engineering.

Skills Required:

The type of experience required to perform the essential functions and responsibilities of this position effectively are:
  • 4-6 years of progressive experience, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing/distribution environment
  • Demonstrated track record of driving financial performance.
  • Lean, APICS, or CPSM Certification or training a plus.
  • Ability to build cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
  • Strong bias for action. Has the ability to get to the best answer in an aggressive timeframe.
  • Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking ability, and acute attention to detail.
  • A "hands-on" professional who leads by influence rather than authority from reporting lines and motivates individuals at all levels to strive for success and excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Proficient with MRP (Material Requirements Planning)/AS 400, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and influence decisions.
  • Ability to provide recommendations for change that will lead to the success of company goals and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced office environment, working collaboratively and independently to simultaneously meet deadlines on multiple projects.
  • Tough-minded, possesses a high level of energy, and calm under fire.
  • High level of initiative and follow-through.
  • Process efficiency (continuous improvement/Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma) experience preferred

Travel Required:
  • Up to 20% travel in support of supplier meetings and corporate initiatives
