The Opportunity: Join BAE Systems' Intelligence and Security Sector and be part of a diverse and enthusiastic team who supports the U.S Navy's Strategic System Program (SSP). We are searching for a Systems SupportManager to join the Software Solutions team that supports the customer' enterprise applications.
The Role: As a Lead on the Systems SupportTeam working to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Navy's SSP applications you will:
- Supervise a dedicated team who support COTS and GOTS applications
- Lead and perform technical planning and system activities
- Increase output quality and productivity of systems and processes
- Manage complex databases and software systems
- Leverage advanced skills and knowledge to succeed as a system support manager
- Collaborate with the customer to define integration requirements from architectural specifications and design a solution to meet those requirements
- Evaluate products and upgrades for appropriateness of cost and compatibility
- Research current systems technology and serve as the subject matter expert on complex systems processes and procedures
- Draft technical instructions, technical designs and other technical documentation
- Configure and perform administrative duties on implemented solutions
- Establish, document, manage, and communicate team expectations, goals, roles, responsibilities, and objectives
Who You Are:
- You are an experienced Systems Integrator who is looking to move into management
- You are eager to work in a DoD environment supporting the customer's mission
- You love learning how to use and administer new tools and technologies
- You are interested in working across sections and collaborating across teams to solve problems, design solutions, and troubleshoot issues
Required Skills and Education
Success in this position requires:
- An active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Demonstrated experience configuring Software Applications and Systems
- Experience drafting technical instructions, technical designs and other technical documentation
- Ability to create integration plans, integration reports and test procedures
- Ability to evaluate complex activities, evaluate products and upgrades, and research current systems technology
- Knowledge of software configuration management processes
- Knowledge of software, application or system integration process and testing
- Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with partners and government officials
- Ability to coach and mentor employees
- Bachelor's Degree and at least 6 years of position related work experience; OR equivalent position related work experience.
- An IAT II certification as specified in the DoD 8570
- Or, have a SECNAV 5239 qualifying degree AND meet the requirements for an IAT II as specified in the DoD 8570 within 6 months of start date
- Ability to obtain and maintain 1) Common Access Card (CAC), 2) badge access to the customer's facility, and 3) a SSP network account in good standing

- Linux+ or a RHCE/RHCA training or certification
- Docker compose, K8 or Openshift experience
- Experience working in a hybrid military-civilian military environment
- Degree in an IT, Information Systems, Engineering, Science or similar technical discipline is preferred
