About the team + role
The Web Platform Team is the driver for the vision of web engineering at Robinhood. Our team exists to deliver a healthy and resilient web platform at scale.
We're looking for a seasoned web engineer who is excited to build a world-class platform and industry-leading developer experience. When our engineers succeed, Robinhood does too.
As a Web Platform engineer team member, you'll be working with colleagues that have a diverse set of skills, operating across large-scale horizontal projects that drive impact via leverage. Your customers are Robinhood's web engineers who build out our product, internal tools, and marketing sites.

What you'll do
- Effectively work across a large Bazel monorepo
- Work across client, server, architecture, and infrastructure that powers all of our web products. This includes the Robinhood web app, our brand sites, and web-based internal tooling
- Ship libraries, frameworks, and abstractions to materially accelerate our web engineers' velocity
- Measure and test your work, quantifying impact through data
- Own and drive platform-level projects from inception to design and implementation to launch, being the leading expert in the organization
- Collaborate with product engineers to rapidly iterate and ship financial products
- 3+ years of full-time professional experience with modern Web standards, technologies, and frameworks
- Comfortable in a monorepo environment and understand its benefits and costs
- Skilled at writing and efficiently debugging JavaScript in Node and browser environments
- Obsessed with building a best-in-class developer experience
- Have a track record of successfully leading projects and delivering large scope technical projects at scale
- Constantly setting a high standard for code quality, advocating for best practices in testing, and improving code review processes
- Deeply understand broad engineering and product disciplines so that you can work effectively across functions and skill sets . Technologies we use:
