Job Overview:
We are seeking an innovative and dynamic High School Principal. Someone who will build on the strong Tallmadge tradition while helping us adapt to the evolving dynamics of high school. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a passion for preparing students for success in college, career, and life by integrating academic excellence with practical, real-world skills. An instructional leader dedicated to fostering a robust Career Technical Education (CTE) program and promoting authentic and personalized learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Vision:
Develop and articulate a clear vision for CTE and authentic and personalized learning.
Lead the school community in fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Align CTE programs with the district's educational goals and workforce needs.
Curriculum and Instruction:
Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive CTE curriculum.
Promote project-based and experiential learning opportunities that connect classroom instruction with real-world applications.
Ensure instructional practices meet diverse learning needs and foster student engagement and achievement.
Partnerships and Community Engagement:
Establish and maintain partnerships with local businesses, industries, higher education institutions, and community organizations to enhance CTE programs.
Facilitate internships, apprenticeships, and job shadowing opportunities for students.
Engage parents, community members, and stakeholders in supporting authentic learning experiences.
Staff Development and Support:
Recruit, hire, and develop highly qualified teachers and support staff.
Provide ongoing professional development focused on best practices.
Foster a collaborative professional learning community among staff.
Student Support and Development:
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
Implement programs and services that support student career exploration, skill development, and postsecondary planning.
Promote student leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
Administrative and Operational Management:
Oversee school operations, including budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Utilize data to inform decision-making and improve student outcomes.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
Valid administrative certification/license as required by the state.
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience.
Proven experience in educational leadership, with a focus on secondary education.
Strong knowledge of CTE frameworks, instructional strategies, and curriculum development.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and engage with diverse community stakeholders.
