Your role

Join our dynamic and growing Saskatchewan business unit, where we are dedicated to making a difference in communities through impactful municipal infrastructure projects. With over 700 municipal entities and 70 First Nations clients, we address the significant demands on water, wastewater, roads, and bridges, striving to create resilient and sustainable communities.

As a Project Manager at Colliers Project Leaders, you will lead and manage complex municipal infrastructure projects, driving continuous improvement and innovation across Saskatchewan. Your expertise will directly contribute to enhancing community infrastructure - from water and wastewater treatment facilities to roads, bridges, and underground utilities. Our approach prioritizes people, ensuring that infrastructure developments positively impact the communities they serve.

Fostering positive, reciprocal relationships with First Nations communities is crucial to our success in Saskatchewan's market. Building respectful, mutually beneficial relationships involves cultural sensitivity, inclusive engagement, and capacity building. Your role will include integrating First Nations' perspectives into projects and establishing sustainable partnerships that promote long-term community development and growth.

In Saskatchewan's nuanced relationship-based market, trust, local knowledge, and collaboration are essential. By building strong relationships with clients and partners, you will provide strategic advice and solutions tailored to local needs. Your contributions will focus on innovative, customized strategies and sustainable practices, ensuring that infrastructure projects not only meet technical requirements but also support the well-being and growth of communities.

Responsibilities

  • Participate and present a unified company voice within the local business community, through networking, and active participation to help grow the business.
  • Cultivate, direct, and seek opportunities to grow your accounts across Saskatchewan.
  • Provide the technical expertise and develop win strategies to secure key pursuits in the municipal sector.
  • Build a strong local presence in the municipal sector, keeping abreast of trends and challenges relevant to the industry and to Colliers Project Leaders' services.
  • Serve as Account Manager to develop and enhance key strategic accounts within your sector.
  • Secure, manage, and expand a portfolio of projects to meet and exceed fee income targets.
  • Develop strong client relationships and act as the client's single point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client's goals and objectives.
  • Chair project and site meetings, find resolution to issues and coordinate between multiple stakeholders.
  • Ensure that client expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded on all projects and the client's best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues.
  • Maintain contact with existing and prospective clients and respond to business development and sales opportunities with support from the Business Development Team, Principal or Regional Vice President.


Qualifications

  • A strong desire to grow our business presence in the local market and meet company growth targets across Saskatchewan.
  • A university degree or diploma in engineering (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience).
  • 4 - 8 years' experience as a practitioner including projects and programs of work in the water and wastewater treatment sector.
  • Experience building and nurturing long-term client relationships and working collaboratively.
  • An established network of industry contacts and relationships within the region as well as involvement with applicable regional industry and trade associations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills including a proven ability to develop winning proposals and win competitive interviews.
  • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, P.Eng., A.Sc.T., or similar industry-recognized designation is considered a strong asset.
  • A strong sense of community and involvement in local community boards and associations.
  • Travel required.
