Structural Engineer PE

We are seeking a Structural Engineer PE for an opportunity for an in house opportunity to work with an architectural and structural design firm that specializes in the design and forensic analysis of various building types.

Description:

• Experience in wood, steel, concrete, masonry, etc., needing minimal supervision.
• Position offers you the ability to directly apply your knowledge of structural analysis, structural design and forensic evaluation.
• Range of project types include (but not limited to): retail, commercial, warehouse / office, multi-family, medical, etc. One to six story.
• Minimal travel.
• Flexibility offered.

Responsibilities:

• Take a project through all design phases including management of document records, and construction document development.
• Perform structural analysis of new and existing structures and their foundation, generate formal reports of reviews which may include suggested repair options.
• Strong work-ethic with a desire to learn and accept additional responsibilities.
• Ability to engineer, design and detail structurally accurate, value-engineered projects.

Qualifications:

• MUST have a PE (structural) license.
• Good English communication skills are a must.
• Be a team player and have the ability to work on multiple projects.
• Familiarity with applicable industry related codes.
• Familiarity with structural modeling software (RISA)
• Experience w concrete design, steel design, foundation design, wind bracing, sheer wall design
