HVAC Technical Sales Engineer II

Summary of Duties:
Develop and implement controls solutions for CaptiveAire equipment packages to provide additional value add for our customers. Includes creation of controls submittals, estimating of installation costs, commissioning of installed system utilizing CASLink to adjust factory set points and optimize sequence of operations and outcome for end user. Meet and collaborate with engineering consultants to develop efficient HVAC design strategies and CaptiveAire equipment selections, utilizing tools such as HVAC load calculations, ASHRAE design resources and internal CaptiveAire application engineering guidelines to optimize ventilation solutions. Provide technical support for installation and startup phases of construction by assisting electricians and contractors with proper wiring and installation practices to ensure proper equipment functionality. Process orders. Help lead new company initiatives in the Tampa market supporting new products and applications to determine best practices for the team. Train new hires and check work to ensure it meets CaptiveAire engineering standards for accuracy and efficiency. Training includes application engineering and product knowledge as well as soft skills related to customer support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field of study, and three (3) years of experience as a Technical Sales Engineer related occupation. Must also have three (3) years of experience with: HVAC Design including design requirements including ASHRAE 90.1 and ASHRAE 62.1; HVAC Load calculations; Optimization of HVAC systems using building management systems; Controls integration and sequencing of operations needed for specific HVAC applications; and understanding and reading Psychometric charts.
