JOB SUMMARY

ASCP currently has a unique opportunity for a highly motivated, energetic individual to develop the design and delivery of an expanding product line of innovative, high-quality digital test preparation products to help individuals grow their careers as they prepare to sit for certification or qualification exams.

In this role, you'll oversee aspects of the development of test preparation products (e.g., interactive practice exams, digital study guides, and online courses), from concept through delivery. You'll collaborate with external volunteer subject matter experts and cross-departmental staff as you develop a product strategy, create content, launch products, optimize marketing, assist with sales (as needed), monitor product performance, and evaluate and continuously improve offerings.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and oversee the full lifecycle of the design, development, and assessment of existing and new high-quality test prep products (e.g., interactive practice exams, digital study guides, online courses, etc.) aligned to ASCP's strategic priorities
  • Develop and maintain product development and production schedules
  • Work with committees for each certification area, including recruiting committee members from ASCP's volunteer pool, scheduling virtual meetings, identifying learner needs, curating existing material, and managing the development, review, and revisions of content.
  • Coordinate content development, peer review, and editorial processes
  • Collaborate other internal and external stakeholders, such as:
    • Cross-functional teams, to determine priorities and formats for product development
    • Learning experience designers, to ensure the development of high-quality online education aligned with best practices in instructional design and adult learning theory
    • External vendors and information technology staff, to assess platform capabilities, troubleshoot issues, and optimize delivery of digital products
  • Develop, implement, evaluate, and align policies and procedures for content development and revisions to maximize efficiency
  • Configure, upload, and test new products in online delivery platform(s), including optimizing the formatting of content, questions, images, references, and/or feedback
  • Evaluate product surveys and customer feedback to monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement / revisions / new product development
  • Support and manage the institutional registration process for bulk sales to programs
  • Represent ASCP and its products at professional meetings
  • Stay abreast of the competitive landscape for certification test preparation products
  • Develop and monitor product revenue and expenses


QUALIFICATIONS
  • MLS/MLT Program Director or MLS/MLT-credentialed laboratory professional, and/or deep familiarity with Board of Certification credentialling pathways is strongly preferred
  • Strong project management, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, oral/written communication, and customer service skills. Must be a self-starter, highly detail-oriented, flexible, responsive, inclusive, and able to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Technologically savvy, with the ability to work independently and leverage tools such as Microsoft Teams, Office 365, videoconferencing software (eg, Zoom), and email to effectively collaborate with in-person and/or remote colleagues and volunteers
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain strong working relationships with staff and volunteers
  • Well-developed time management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated project management experience (eg, planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives)
