POSITION PURPOSE:

Perform engineering calculations, process troubleshooting and support for EPDM manufacturing units.

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
State the minimum type and level of training and/or formal education and experience required to do your job.
Education: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering
Prior Work Experience: 3 to 15 years' experience preferred
Required Skills or Abilities: In order of importance, list the specific skills or abilities which a qualified incumbent should possess (e.g., computer literacy, subject knowledge, etc.)

Perform engineering calculations, process troubleshooting and support for EPDM manufacturing units.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Perform engineering calculations
- Troubleshoot and document process and quality related issues
- Coordinate product changeovers
- Oversee rework process
- Generate project ideas
- Attend PHA revalidations
- Perform routine and emergency environmental emissions calculations and reports
- Calculate monthly yields
- Investigate and report monthly raw material variances
- Maintain product recipes and BOMs in SAP
- Perform daily quality reviews
- Develop quality improvement and off grade reduction programs
- Establish in-process specifications
- Write, update, and review SOPs
- Comply with EH&S guidelines
- Provide technical support to customers as required and assist in investigating root causes for customer complaints
- Perform hazard evaluations for smaller process modifications
- Provide technical coverage for start-ups
- Close out MOC, PHA & UI action items
- If requested conduct internal and external quality audits of suppliers
- Work with production and lab operators on a daily basis
- Additional duties as requested

- Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes

- Must have excellent teamwork, communications, and presentation skills
- Must have good technical writing skills
